A superb morning of racing for Wakefield Harriers

On a cool crisp morning 37 Wakefield athletes took part in the ever‑popular Dewsbury 10K. They lined up alongside more than 2,600 runners at the start line and produced top‑10 finishes, age‑category wins, and a long list of personal achievements.

Wakefield’s charge was led superbly by Adam Peers, who stormed to 8th place overall in a blistering 31:21, also securing 1st MV35. A superb early‑season marker and a standout run. Following Adam home were,

Wakefield ladies also produced some outstanding performances, led home by Katie Peers who finished in 400th place overall in a fantastic time of 38:47 and was 35th female overall and 11th FV35

The Dewsbury 10K once again proved why it’s one of the region’s favourite road races — fast, friendly, and fiercely competitive.
