Two Harriers kicked off the season in Manchester, both delivering brilliant runs on a fast but competitive course.

  • Daz Hewitt – 2:54:31 A superb performance on his England Masters debut, proudly wearing the national vest for the first time.
  • Peter Woodhead – 3:43:39 A strong and well‑paced run to round off the club’s representation in Manchester.

A strong Harriers contingent headed to the capital, producing strong collective marathon showings .

  • Bobby Brailsford – 2:28:46 (153rd overall) An incredible marathon debut, placing him 6th on the club’s all‑time rankings. A huge breakthrough performance.
  • Nathan Elliot – 2:48:05 Another excellent run, backing up a strong block of training with a sub‑2:50 finish.
  • Katie Peers – 3:06:43 First Harrier home in the women’s field, placing 5th on the club’s all‑time list. A brilliant, confident run.
  • Lucy Robinson – 3:13:13 Another superb performance, earning 10th place on the club’s all‑time rankings.
  • Emma Feeney – 3:34:50 A fantastic, well‑executed race.
  • Alison Smith – 3:55:26 A strong run rewarded with 31st on the club’s all‑time list. Outstanding achievement.
  • Lee Verity – 5:05:02
  • Alice Lightfoot – 5:08:12

The club is immensely proud of every runner who lined up in Manchester and London. Marathon training is a long, demanding journey, and each athlete has shown commitment, resilience, and team spirit throughout the winter and spring.


With the Leeds Marathon fast approaching, excitement is already building. It’s a challenging course, but our Harriers have shown they’re more than ready for it. We can’t wait to see what they deliver next.
