REPORT
The world‑famous Armagh International Road Race once again delivered its trademark blend of electric atmosphere, elite depth, and astonishing speed. In a stacked field of 206 athletes, two Wakefield Harriers made the trip across to Northern Ireland and produced performances to be proud of on one of the fastest 5k road circuits anywhere in Europe.
Mark Bostock – 41st place – 14:14 & NEW CLUB 5K ROAD RECORD!
Once again racing in full Harriers green, Mark delivered a superb run, mixing it with an international‑class field and crossing the line in 14 minutes 14 seconds. His 41st‑place finish reflects both the ferocious standard of the race and the strength of his own form. A brilliant showing on a night where every second counts.
Robert Brailsford – 137th place – 14:59
Robert also rose to the occasion, breaking the 15‑minute barrier with an excellent 14 minutes 59 seconds to secure 137th place. In a race renowned for its relentless pace from the gun, dipping under 15 minutes is a significant achievement and a testament to his commitment and consistency.
Both athletes represented Wakefield Harriers with distinction on one of the most competitive 5k stages in the world.
