The fourth fixture of the Road Runners Distance League took the Harriers to South Yorkshire for the ever‑popular Wombwell 5 Mile. Wakefield athletes delivered another excellent set of performances, highlighted by age‑category podiums and a superb outright win from a second‑claim Harrier.

In superb form, Simon Midwood delivered another high‑quality run, finishing 13th overall in 27:57. His effort also earned him 2nd place in his age category, strengthening his position in the league standings and continuing his excellent 2026 campaign.

Libby Greatorex continued her strong winter with a brilliant 31:04, placing 51st overall and securing 2nd in her age category. Well done Libby.

Francis Mwaba ran well to finish in 35:56, earning 5th place in his age category. Another consistent performance.
