Wakefield Harriers young athletes represented the club well at at the National Cross Country Championships, which were held at Hardwick East park, Sedgefield, County Durham.
Isabella Tutt had an outstanding run, to finish up on the podium in 3rd place overall against England’s top u17 ladies, with Rosie Thislewood in 63rd and Sylvie Ellis 75th place, the girls were all in the top half of the results.
The u15 Boys were the next to take on the challenging undulating course, with Thomas Hastings continuing his good form to finish in a fine 10th place, backed up by Sydney Swan in 90th, Daniel Jones 155th and James Smith in 251st. The team finished in 22nd place overall and 2nd Yorkshire team.
The u13 boys team was depleted due to illness and injury but Lochlan Ruddock and Oliver Hastings made the trip up North to Compete in their first National Championships, they both ran well with Lachlan finishing in 158th and Oliver 211th
