Wakefield Harriers were proudly represented across multiple age groups at the English Cross Country Relay Championships, held at Berry Hill Park, Mansfield on Saturday 1st November 2025. The event brought together the country’s top clubs for a thrilling day of team racing, and our athletes rose to the occasion with determination and pride.

Although we were unable to field a complete team in the U17 Women’s race, Isabella Tutt and Sylvie Ellis delivered standout performances:

  • Isabella stormed to the fastest overall time on Leg 1, a remarkable achievement in a highly competitive field.
  • Sylvie followed with an excellent run on Leg 2, placing 37th and showing great composure and strength.

Our Under 13 Boys team ran with heart and consistency, securing a 36th place finish among a strong national field:

  • Henry McFarlane opened with a strong 17th place on Leg 1.
  • Lochlan Ruddock battled through Leg 2, placing 71st.
  • William Throton delivered a storming finish, recording the 4th fastest time on the final leg.

The Under 15 Boys team impressed with a 22nd place finish, showcasing grit and teamwork:

  • Tommy Hastings blazed through Leg 1, finishing 3rd overall.
  • Daniel Jones held firm on Leg 2, placing 60th.
  • Sydney Swan closed with a strong run, finishing 24th on the final leg.

Our Senior Men’s team showed resilience and teamwork across all four legs, finishing 83rd out of 172 teams:

  • Bobby Brailsford kicked things off with a solid 50th place on Leg 1.
  • Scott Eaglen took on Leg 2, placing 94th.
  • Stewart Knowles maintained momentum with 90th on Leg 3.
  • Robert Jackson brought the team home, finishing 107th on the final leg.
